Activities involving FBIE-SIG at the 2008 Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.

Here is an at-a-glance list of activities that involves FBIE-SIG. We designed these activities with an emphasis on getting to know each other better throughout the conference period. Details for each activity are listed below the table.
 

FBIE Leaders dinner
The FBIE Leaders dinner will be held on Monday May 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Cafe Asia: 1720 I Street NW, Washington, DC. (Tel: 202-659-2696; http://www.cafeasia.com). If you are a current or upcoming Leader, you should be there for this strategic meeting.
 

Students/Mentors Meeting
The Students/Mentors Meeting will take place on Tuesday May 27 at 8 a.m. (see NAFSA Program for location). Some of us will be there to provide our wisdom (or lack of it) :) to the new students in the field of International Education. Try to make this meeting, you will find it most helpful!

Please make sure to attend this meeting! This year, we will have a short presentation of a research project on the importance of FBIEs and welcome you to join the discussions. Also, we welcome those who are new to our group, inform them who we are and what we do. This is a great place to network with other FBIEs and to reflect your voices to our future activities.
 

FBIE-SIG Happy Hour
For a nice get together and networking opportunity, we will have a non-sponsored (you pay for own drinks and food) happy hour(s) on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Please see the following website for information on the place and the location:

Place: Outside of the Expo Hall entrance -- This is another place where we get to know each other and spread the word about our group to other NAFSAns. There will be our member(s) at the table occasionally, and there will be our information left on the table otherwise. Please stop by!
